Understanding Your Animals
Training your pet is not about the pet as much as it is about training you how to communicate with your pet effectively.
As a fully certified Dog Trainer based in Los Angeles, I’ve been training animals for over two decades with my career starting with a multiple year externship at the San Francisco Zoo.
Over the years I have developed a firm belief that educating owners on the importance of animal behavioral science enables them to understand WHY their pets are the way they are. Each owner and pet have their own individual highs and lows. I believe a balance must be struck that fulfills the needs of both human and pet.

At Home Dog Training
Getting to Know You
At home dog training allows an opportunity for me to assess the situation as it pertains to each client in their home. If it is as simple as basic obedience or mildly aggressive behavior, we will work on behavioral modifications of your choice. Some of these issues can be as simple as a regular exercise routine or breaking bad habits that can cause separation anxiety in our pets. If homework is completed Dogs can graduate from basic obedience to advanced obedience. As an AKC certified dog trainer I am able to perform the evaluation that can earn your dog the highest standard in dog obedience, the AKC Good Citizen’s or CGC test. I know you have a busy schedule, so I will customize a plan that suits your lifestyle.
Board Training
Personalized and Professional
Board training allows the opportunity for your pet to be trained away from home by a dedicated team of dog trainers. The amount of time your dog will need for training is decided on a case by case basis. Some dogs can work through their issues in as little as a week, some issues might take longer. Each situation is unique and we want everyone to have realistic goals. In order to accomplish this we will discuss the options and proposed timeline prior to each board train. Packages are available for multiple weeks, pricing can be discussed after general assessment has been made. Upon the return of your pet, after board training, owners will receive a transfer training. This ensures all behaviors worked on during the course of the training are explained to and completed by the owners. Homework Will still need to be done to ensure the training sticks. Homework does not have to be a daunting task. We will create a personalized plan to fit your pet’s needs and your lifestyle.

So often our busy schedules do not allow for adequate exercise or stimulation of our pets. We offer daycare services that allow a healthy outlet for mental stimulation and physical exertion.
Dog Walking made Manageable
Time for Your Pet
So often I encounter owners who have given up on walking as it becomes more of a chore. Dogs must be taught how to walk correctly on a leash. If left unchecked the walk becomes uncomfortable for both owner and pet. Lots of pulling and tugging can be detrimental to both parties. Finding an effective tool whether it is a leash, harness or a corrective collar is imperative to get you both moving in sync. So many behavioral issues can be treated with a regular exercise routine that’s healthy for both owner and pet. In order to accomplish this I will meet with clients in the field, a hiking trail or a neighborhood park even just their local neighborhood. The longer the behavior is left unchecked the more difficult it can become to fix. So let’s get walking.
Boarding

If your animal needs help with a specific physical or behavioral issue, Boarding with Jillian Rose may be a great option for you. Dogs are accepted for boarding on a case by case basis, we take great care to make sure that dogs are comfortable in our care. Please reach out to discuss Boarding sessions.
Sessions can be done at my state-of-the-art training facility or a place of your choosing, with personalized plans to fit your pet’s needs and your lifestyle.
